GPT maps available now

Parks Victoria has produced three topographical maps that cover the GPT. They are an improvement on past maps, but unfortunately there are still errors. If you’re hiking the entire trail we recommend you buy our Grampians Walks book along with the three maps, which are available locally.

Grampians Walks book

The Grampians Walks book contains detailed descriptions and maps of 86 walks. That’s all of the walking tracks in the Grampians. This includes the Grampians Peaks Trail (GPT).

The maps are clear, easy-to-follow sketches of the routes. The tracks are colour coded to make it easy to find your way. The maps also show which other walking tracks are in the vicinity of the walk you are looking at doing.

The sketch maps show sealed roads, unsealed roads, the GPT and any other walking tracks. Creeks are marked as well.

You can see where the GPT Hikers’ Camps are located. The camps are shown as a yellow dot.

This e-book guides you to the well-known places like Alice Springs, Uluru and Kings Canyon as well as off-the-beaten track destinations. It’s more than just a selection of the usual mainstream tourist places that everybody visits. It also includes a whole lot of additional places that you’d be unlikely to find on your own, including our own favourites. If there is a track worth driving, a hike worth doing, a waterhole or bush campsite worth stopping at, then it’s covered.
